This has been a really busy week at work. Plenty of openings for workers and the weird thing is that none of our open positions are listed on the website.. oh well working short is now the norm anyway. So being organized is even more important than it used to be. Getting off early on Sunday is so helpful. Especially when we are low on slushies syrup, chocolate syrup, and meals are not planned for the week yet.  So first on the menu to make is oven fried chicken
Super easy and delicious!
This was made with homemade shake on coating, popped in the oven, 40 minutes later and it is ready to serve. I started with homemade bread crumbs, seasoned, added some extra parsley, a little sugar and a little paprika.
It had to be good the little ones who are very picky about chicken on a stick (chicken legs) gobbled it up! The last two pieces were all I got a picture of! And they were gone before I started dessert. Tonight we had brownies for dessert. I have been wanting to make these for weeks now but haven't had any time. We don't do dessert very often. At least not sweet treats, mostly frozen gogurts, or yogurt with sprinkles, Or something along that line. Two days ago it was strawberry shortcake. Instead of store bought short cakes we have homemade sweet biscuits and homemade whipped cream. Homemade whipped cream is a) so easy, b) cheaper than canned and c) so much tastier! Plus you can make a 2 cup batch and, depending on how much you need freeze the excess in pastry bags to use another day. Talk about quick and easy!

The two youngest really like whipped cream on their oatmeal, pancakes and just into their little mouths! A bad habit taught to them by number six! Just wait till her two year old learns that same trick!   Tomorrow is DD's sixth birthday! Before this birthday we have always celebrated at home with family only...this year we have decided to go to itz a play time place with arcade games and rides still with family and one child from outside our clan. One of my co-workers is going to bring her granddaughter to the venue. It will be the first time for her to meet us and vice versa. It will be interesting to see how they interact😊.

So last night I baked a loaf of French bread in preparation for spaghetti dinner tonight. It really helped to have that made ahead of time. I used about half of it to make garlic bread...It was so delish! Sorry no pics this time! For dessert we had brownies a la mode with homemade chocolate sauce, whipped cream and a cherry
Yum!!! Yes I know I did say we do not have dessert that often...after tonight I am sure it will be a week or two for sure we'll I better post this so I can make dessert next week too!!!!
