Still waiting ...

Well today has been a bit of a rush, rush kind of day. I am working on the impeller and it does not want to come out of the machine. I have pulled and tugged and pulled again with no movement at all. So it leads me to believe that I am a weakling!

While I fussed with that washer Gary was busy being creative about emptying the smaller pool.

You can see all the mud and leaves that have accumulated this past month. It actually is quite clean now that almost all of the water is out. He used the frame ledges from the larger pool to hold the liner of the smaller one high enough to rinse off. By morning what is left of the sand may be dried enough to just sweep off. Also since we seem to be limited to one large task per day this was a good one to get done!

Looking sideways under the pool as it drains.

I am thankful that the water wasn't wasted. The majority went into the larger pool for next year's swimming fun! We did have to drain out the last few gallons onto the ground just to avoid having all that muck into the other pool. Once we can disassemble the 20ft pool we can then cover the other with the winter cover and avoid a whole bunch of leaves that will be falling soon.

As the sun set on our adventure a large owl flew onto the electric wires at the edge of the property. It looked hungry. Therefore my little dogs were not allowed out to potty. They have a puppy pad "haven" at the bottom of the basement stairs.

Well we haven't had any updates this evening on the baby progress but we last heard she is not cooperating with being delivered. I think that gramma said something about not receiving a proper 30 day notice for the eviction proceedings that are being pushed on her.
(okay that might have been me)

Tomorrow we fold the pool and put it in storage and hopefully fasten some of the fence boards. Maybe even lay the fence wire for the "invisible" fence. (these are all little projects)

For now I'll close and continue the washer fight tomorrow!
