Challenges with houseguests and timelines

Each week has had its own challenges. The problem is they seem to be progressing in intensity. MIA has been very good at being stealth and avoiding me in particular. There has been no door dashing, or any other semblance of work. I have not asked lately, but in the past when I have asked about applying for disability or services I was rebuked and put in my place. So, I don't dare ask here. Why? Because there isn't anyone for her to run to. I feel used in a way. The only time she ever wants anything to do with us is when she is mad at her mother or some other calamity has her up in arms. I should have known this time was no different. I am sure that she is not making enough to go out on her own, but she also won't accept guidance, ideas, or advice, and forget asking questions, because then you are just being nosey. I put the convertible in the attached garage. It had been in there before I started sorting boxes. Poor car had to sit in the driveway through the snow and rain because I had the floor of the garage totally covered with stuff and things. Things are put away for now. It was weird to drive into a garage to park. It is also weird to n...

It is the evening of the fourth day of school closures. Surprise! I received a text that there will be no school tomorrow either! I could deal with this on a regular basis if I could get the girls to go to school. Truthfully, I am pretty much fine with them not attending public school and doing free schooling. Or unschooling as others have called it. As long as they have the basics and the desire to learn along the way. I quite often miss my alone time though. That would happen no matter what even if they were in school. Because my time is not my own. If I am here, I am expected to entertain. As long as the girls are here then I am expected to entertain them. As I sit here and type, I have an adult complaining that their toes are freezing. we have terra cotta tile floors over cement. This one has no socks on, no slippers and no desire to remedy that. I am not too concerned. But it is annoying to listen to when there is a solution that can be had easily enough. Also, it is hard to ...
