I learned something new!

It has been another long week! Earlier this month DH said that the oldest son informed him that his computer was too old and that he should tell me to get him a new one.  So after considering a few options, h?e has a new computer.  This was not the best idea that the oldest son has ever had but we'll run with it.  He did not give specifics except that it had to be windows 10.  That made things a bit easier, since most everything new has it.. save the apple family. After contemplating between Costco and AAFES I went with AAFES. Now time to set it up! This is not my strong area and not his either.  But somehow we got through the password part and then couldn't get the poor thing to do much of anything.  Frustrated he closed machine and went back to his Surface tablet that he has had at least a few years.  Oh I don't know maybe the next day, maybe the day after, he tried to finish the set up... but he could not remember his password. These are secret things so of course I

Old dogs learning new tricks...

So I thought if I just focus on learning how to use this iPad my font fight would be over... not so much.  But that alone is not the reason for this post. My work life and home life are about to change drastically.  This week I lost two workers who have been with me for over five years each. That's not long in the scheme of life, but it represents an investment in their lives, the lives of the residents we care for and the families who depend on us for that care. This week I have taken time to try and figure out where I am and where I am going, the past shows up and reminds me that I have hurt so many people and the more I try to control which way my life goes the more I mess things up. If I could go back in time, oh if only!  Why is it that it takes us so long to

The plane! The plane....I mean the phone, the phone!!

For those who do not know me, I am forever "losing" things... not weight, things like car keys, paperwork, phones... what my phone? This evening I could take the mess in the girls' room no longer.  So I tossed the kids into the tub in hopes of washing away the "rare" spots that they had acquired while I was at work today.  I then pulled on my MOPP gear and headed into the depths of stuff in their room.  This is usually a Saturday event for me and then again on Wednesday evening and quick once over to clean their "table". However this Wednesday it did not get done.  For the past year I have been using my little Bissel bagless vacuum and it picks up pretty well.  But tonight was special! I have a new power head for my Rainbow system and I went to it with abandon! It made me realize how much I missed using my Rainbow.  The gunk that was in that bowl was thick as mud when I finally realized I did indeed have to take the girls out of the tub. While I drie
