To do lists and progress... too many of one and not enough of the other.

It is the middle of September and my goal list for the month is moving very slowly. My sister came from Oklahoma and we had a good visit. She brought two baby goats and two bunnies for the girls.  Everyone enjoyed the visit and the extra dogs that came to play. I took time to sit out in the evening air each night and that is rare for me. Of course that meant some things had to be left alone so I chose the dishes lol. Today I am paying for my choice.

This weekend is the weekend to finish my kitchen "organization". The counters are a constant battle, I clean one off and that is the first place anyone choses to set something on. I have made progress at keeping them clutter free once I get them cleared but it is a daily or multiple times a day task.

Earlier this month we got the news that DH's sister was having some issues. We agreed that she should come stay with us for a while and give her caregiver a break. Unfortunately she faced a break with reality and is in a behavioral health ward for the time being. It is probably for the best. As she is being treated it is hard to think of what will become of her. The social worker has ruled traveling or moving in with us an "unsafe discharge" and at this point she is most likely going to be placed in a state hospital.

If the goals that were set for this month get accomplished it will be amazing. With the surprises that came our way this month I will justify any failures to meet the goals.

Some of the good things that were accomplished include new fence doors for the chicken and turkey pens. These certainly make things easier for me to accomplish with critter chores!
Lily is an accomplished "critter catcher" she can add baby goats to her resume of animals that are too slow to escape her!
I have to admit I had my doubts about keeping these little guys more than a week. They are too cute to kick out of the nest just yet.
Adrian is the calmest of the two, the first plan was to keep them on the chicken side of the fence but they found their way into the duck pen and that is working really well!
