Travel, Tornadoes and Tired days
Hello June, it promised to be a busy month, and it has been. It started with court on the 3rd of the month. We haven't heard anything in regard to that. The 6th of the month brought the teen and I to Arlington Texas for a concert of her choosing. We had a good time and a rapid round trip.
The 11th was another trip with a party on the 14th. A great time was had by all. The return trip was better travel time than the get to the party trip. It was sprinkled with not so good things. In Iowa we witnessed and stopped the car fast enough to at least not become part of a semi-truck versus pickup truck accident. People were not very considerate behind us. I barely got over to the shoulder on the right with the collision in the left lane, and the traffic shot up through the middle without stopping to check on anyone. I regretted not having a dash cam. The drivers of both vehicles did a great job at keeping vehicles upright through it all.
The after party at my younger brother's house was complete with a bonfire.
We passed through Lincoln, Nebraska where a tornado apparently formed very quickly giving people only 90 seconds to seek shelter. Glad I am not a storm chaser! Thankfully we arrived safely and today the county next to us had a fake tornado. I am tired, I do not want to travel any more this month. The memorial service was the second to last big event this week. Well, technically the third, the youngest becomes a teenager and the oldest grandchild has a baby shower scheduled for the same day.
I plan to sew this week; we all know of great plans that never happen. This is something for the shower though hopefully it will get done. This past weekend and the days leading up to it were all late nighters to early mornings. Thankfully the only almost all nighter ended at 3am Sunday. I did not get many pictures on either trip. I did drink soda on three separate occasions. Bad idea. Now that I am home there is no need for the soda anymore.
My brother and his partner made the sign and because they have things very minimalistic all family gatherings in Michigan are held at his house. I am thankful for them. Stacey makes sure that things are done the way the need to be done and she cares for my brother and the rest of the family.
I am not in any of these pictures because I was taking these :)
