Canning, cleaning and clutter oh my!
Yep, I'm going to can things this year. It might be people but I'm going to can something. Yes, I know that I did pineapple and that was this year, but I mean something else. I am thinking tomato soup or ketchup. Most likely it will be something simple though and those are eh, somewhat easy. I just finished making cinnamon rolls. It took all morning because I was lazy about it. I will admit I am tired today. I wish I could rest like SIL does. It eludes me though.
Try as I might to get organized it doesn't happen. Probably never will. As the day progresses and the clouds get darker, I remind myself to be thankful for the rain.
The little bluebirds in the yard are so fun to watch. It is a bit weird they do not look blue in the pictures, but they are. My son-in-law and grandson are currently in the attic trying to finish up the ceiling installation. When this phase is finished, they are off to South Dakota for a bit. I will order the light fixtures and the ceiling fans. Hopefully the painting will be done by the time those items arrive.
It should be only a few weeks until the girls can move upstairs and the carpet replacement on the first floor can begin. I know it probably looks rough, but it is coming along nicely! The windows will need to be framed in and sealed and blinds or curtains hung.
Today I am moving the rooms around and it feels good to get the clutter in one place to bag up and toss! I was able to move the general's couch and then add the two desks that were moved to the living room into the entryway living room. I took the bookcase that I had previously moved to the entryway walkway and put it back where I had moved it from in the living room. Tomorrow if I can, I will put all the books back on the shelf and remove all the clutter from the living room. I would post a picture, but the clutter is overwhelming. Even with what is left five bags have already been taken to the dumpster. I feel better already!
