So much for April showers, Hello May...
The month started off much like the previous month ended. Nothing new today either. It is SIL's birthday, she would be 66. She will be forever 65. This weekend is supposed to get colder, so I'll have another two weeks with plants and trees in the house. The weather is fickle.
The travelers will be taking a day trip to Wyoming today. They offered to take the kids, but I was not feeling well and so I declined so that the kids could just have a day at home. Of course, most of the requests have been to "go somewhere". Sadly, for them I am not up to it. Plus, I have so much to do here that I cannot.
My energy level is in the negative digits. I know exercise breeds energy, but I struggle to wrap my focus around deliberate exercise. Most days start with the high energy of the tween, most of that being negative energy. I feel like the negative start to most of my days is a big influence on decreased productivity.
It is now after lunch and at least I have some energy! Once I water the ducks and feed the chickens I am going to take the kids to the store. Not my favorite way to end ANY day, but I promised. My goal to lose 30 lbs. has been rough starting but if I am going avoid knee surgery I need to shed a few pounds. This week I have lost 6 of those 30. Not a bad start. Truthfully, it should be 50 pounds, but I will take 30 if I can get there.
The big dog is being helpful these days. He goes out with me to let the birds out of the henhouse. He is being good and when they come near him, he walks away. Doing his best to get extra free yard time.
I had to run to town today; I really hate the traffic in town. The bread store was out of the raisin bread, so I bought it at the supermarket. I know I should make it. I haven't been making things in order not to tempt myself and to make things easier on me for meals. As I get better at this way of eating, I will go back to making more.
With that I think I'll close this post and start fresh next week.
