It is almost April...

 Still thinking there might be snow in the forecast soon. I cannot explain why I feel this. I just do. Tomorrow is my first day at my new job. It is just orientation and paperwork, but it feels adventurous! I am only an as needed worker, but I am still excited. Many things need to be "settled" around here before I can say yes to full time work outside the home. Realistically there is full time work available in the home. Hugs and kisses won't pay the bills though.

I have not been to see SIL all week, DH has been there each day except today, for about 2 hours. We have been trying to adjust her to time without me. Not sure the adjustment will ever happen. I have been off of work too long to just jump back in full time and think everyone will just be flexible and go with the flow. Tomorrow I will try to stop and see SIL. If not, I'll go early Saturday and show her pictures of the house and figure out what things she would like to keep.

I was really racking my pea-sized brain for what to make for dinner tonight and the oldest kiddo asked for spaghetti. That was perfect! Easy to get started and I could use the ready hamburger mix in it. I have only used one jar of the mix since making it. Last night I used a jar for taco dip, and it was really good! Tonight, the spaghetti was fast and good too!

Well, it is off to bed for me.

 Sometimes when you think you have it all under control you realize you were wrong. Today the replacement bed for SIL was delivered. Any other day the whole household would have been up and about. Not today though, it is like they knew the delivery would be very early. Luckily the guys that dropped it off had it assembled and ready to go. They brought it through the front door and set it on its side in the living room. Of course, when DH got up, he insisted that I let him move it around and move the other bed out of her room all the good stuff. He also decided that he had to go somewhere.  The beds have been moved and all is where it should be, sort of. DH is still out somewhere. I bought her a new mattress and when I was calculating the height for her, I decided a 6-inch mattress might be best. Now that I have taken it out of the package it has to expand for 3 days. It's the last Monday!

It is the last Monday that I have to get up and go to this particular job and I overslept. Good thing my boss doesn't keep too many tabs on me. I'll be there by 0800 I suppose. Should go earlier as I have lots to do. Three days isn't much to get 39 care plans updated, and go through to make sure charts have what they need for state. Good thing he doesn't check his mailbox very often either. Otherwise he would have found my resignation letter 3 weeks ago, almost 4 now. It's all good.  I can feel the anxiety building in me knowing I am two days away from "unemployed". I did get some really good news! The grape-vine is saying that my replacement has been named and it is a nurse I absolutely adore! She will be an excellent leader! So for once I hope the grape-vine is right!!! The contents of this post are from early February. I was going to delete but thought more about it and decided to share. Sorry the pic's are sideways. As I sit at the table and look across to the counter in the middle of the room some call an Island, i bask in the silence that is now. Soon the island will be cluttered with items needed to make lunches and chaos will fill the silence as the house gets moving and kids get ready for school. There's only a few minutes until everyone else starts getting up. Today is hippotherapy for the youngest. The wind is howling right now so they may cancel it if it's too cold for the old horses they don't go out. It's too cold for this old horse! For 3 days we've been able to go outside without coats or sweaters or jackets. Yesterday the storm clouds brewed like they were going to dump an ocean in the yard I ran outside and grabbed seven batts of insulation and took them to the basement to save them from the rain. By
