The Broom...

Brooms are handy. You can sweep with one, you can swat with one and you can ride one! Unfortunately I cannot find mine and I'm sure there are those who think I must have parked it somewhere but alas, I cannot even sweep the kitchen floor tonight.
 This is my new she shed. It was going to be a playhouse for the girls. But I have decided it shall be my new hideout.
 These shelves will be handy should I decide to put something on them.


And this furniture can store
Some things too.

 Maybe this golden key from the weekend might be handy.
 The horse that looks a bit Mule'ish might be happy in here too!

And of course a little of this stuff might not hurt either!

Well if I'm going to have a she shed it may as well be well stocked! For real though I could put my sewing machine in there and hang out while the kiddos are at school and it might be fairly comfortable. I mean add a chair and a fan. Oh and let's not forget a broom to sweep the floor...

 Sometimes when you think you have it all under control you realize you were wrong. Today the replacement bed for SIL was delivered. Any other day the whole household would have been up and about. Not today though, it is like they knew the delivery would be very early. Luckily the guys that dropped it off had it assembled and ready to go. They brought it through the front door and set it on its side in the living room. Of course, when DH got up, he insisted that I let him move it around and move the other bed out of her room all the good stuff. He also decided that he had to go somewhere.  The beds have been moved and all is where it should be, sort of. DH is still out somewhere. I bought her a new mattress and when I was calculating the height for her, I decided a 6-inch mattress might be best. Now that I have taken it out of the package it has to expand for 3 days. It's the last Monday!

It is the last Monday that I have to get up and go to this particular job and I overslept. Good thing my boss doesn't keep too many tabs on me. I'll be there by 0800 I suppose. Should go earlier as I have lots to do. Three days isn't much to get 39 care plans updated, and go through to make sure charts have what they need for state. Good thing he doesn't check his mailbox very often either. Otherwise he would have found my resignation letter 3 weeks ago, almost 4 now. It's all good.  I can feel the anxiety building in me knowing I am two days away from "unemployed". I did get some really good news! The grape-vine is saying that my replacement has been named and it is a nurse I absolutely adore! She will be an excellent leader! So for once I hope the grape-vine is right!!! morning calm

The contents of this post are from early February. I was going to delete but thought more about it and decided to share. Sorry the pic's are sideways. As I sit at the table and look across to the counter in the middle of the room some call an Island, i bask in the silence that is now. Soon the island will be cluttered with items needed to make lunches and chaos will fill the silence as the house gets moving and kids get ready for school. There's only a few minutes until everyone else starts getting up. Today is hippotherapy for the youngest. The wind is howling right now so they may cancel it if it's too cold for the old horses they don't go out. It's too cold for this old horse! For 3 days we've been able to go outside without coats or sweaters or jackets. Yesterday the storm clouds brewed like they were going to dump an ocean in the yard I ran outside and grabbed seven batts of insulation and took them to the basement to save them from the rain. By...
