Butterscotch Magic shell

Sometimes when I am overwhelmed with all there is to do in a day (yesterday) I find relief from stress by making something. It can be cooking or sewing or crocheting, anything creative. This time it was Butterscotch magic shell ice cream topping! This was so simple and very tasty!

I just melted a bag of butterscotch morsels and 5 T of refined coconut oil in a double boiler until melted, stirred real well and poured that stuff into a jar! It is yummy! I of course had to taste test it.

Now I have to make the chocolate shell

This should keep about a month in the cupboard... if it lasts that long!

This game has been enjoyed especially waiting to leave for the field trip!

The trip to the museum was fun but time constraints did not allow us to see it all. The girls enjoy the "Health" area and proudly showed off their cards as we moved on to the dinosauers.
Having to wear masks throughout the adventure was not as painful as I thought it might be. But since we only stayed about 2 hours it would be hard to say what the whole museum would be like in a mask. The dinosauers were fun for the girls although it was hard for them to comprehend which bones were real and which were models.
The real fun came trying to explain why scientists think evolution is how it all began! Somehow the 10 year-old wasn't buying the evolution theory.  Next up was explaining what a theory was.

The eight year-old decided that in the evolution section she would recite what they learned in Sunday School this week. Be. Make. Send. It was kind of neat to watch her explain this to total strangers... another non-evolution kiddo! YAY! I am surprised they didn't blurting out scriptures... maybe next time.

Moving on to the Egyptian area, the mummies had all three girls intrigued. Again, Sunday School information was shared and in disbelief the girls remarked about how silly the egyptians were to think that they needed to "pack" for the next life.
Well that about concludes the field trip yesterday... except for my favorite exhibit!
They really did have plenty of these and you didn't have to run around to another floor or wait in line!
