Forget packing, There is too much else to do!

There are still a few things left to do to get the baby shower ready. And there are still kids underfoot, in fact there is one extra. Thank heavens it is only one extra! I need to pack treat bags for the kiddos, with the kiddos present... should have bought extra candy. Oh well, one of the older kids will be here soon. We still need to get stuff to the shower location this morning.

My idea was to have this about 1pm, but my son-in-law wanted it at 1100. Probably, interferes with a football game or something. Now that baby showers are no longer a "women's" event you have to have games that the men will enjoy. So what is wrong with having the shower during a football game? You could say whoever yells the loudest or doesn't yell is the winner!

Now showers are a family affair and this one will be smaller than the shower for the previous kiddo. In fact, the initial guest count was only 60. It is difficult to have a prize available for all the potential age ranges and boys versus girls. Sorry, I ramble a lot!

The "thanks for coming" gift is a jar of homemade Vaseline. The candy it is sitting on was supposed to go on top and into the bag. Not happening...

Still trying to figure out the presentation factor...

Also, I forgot to bake the cupcakes so doing that and this now. Nobody is responding on flavors. They are getting strawberry.

We picked up the girls' a set of bunk beds off of Marketplace yesterday and I am sure this contributed to my memory loss.

These are really sturdy and they are full size, top and bottom, so I don't have to suffer when I am needed for nightmares!

With the really heavy duty steps I shouldn't have any trouble at all! Once we picked them up we were going to come back to the little house. As we turned to do that, DH wasn't sure that he turned off the water pipe heater at the property.

So we turned around and headed that way. Good thing we did! Not because he left the heater on, but when we arrived at the property there were a bunch of lights on. We didn't turn any lights on. Mainly because we didn't have any electricity hooked up to the house.
All these lights were on before we unloaded the bed. Plus, the lights in the Master bath, closet and toilet room with all the fans going. So we can check that off the list of "do they work". Even the lights across the front of the house (which I didn't even know existed) were on...
It is a bit hard to see through the car window, but there a 4 flood lights across the front of the house. I'll try to get a better picture another day. But what a surprise! guess that all works, yay! Those will not likely be used much as that is the side of the house where the girls bedrooms are.

Needless to say the electrician really did show up!

Well enough said for now... I have to get ready for the big event of this week and missing church because of it. Hmm... I was just thinking maybe the craft of "Vaseline" could count as my "craft of the month".
